in 1904, Frank Mitchell & Charles Ness came together in Philadelphia to create a company that specialised in handcrafted sporting goods. The company began by stringing tennis rackets, making custom golf clubs, and producing uniforms for local teams like the Eagles & Phillies. By 1933, the company was the official on-field outfitters for the Philadelphia Eagles, Athletics and Phillies – the rest is history. In 1985, a customer asked Mitchell & Ness to repair his game-worn jersey, sparking an idea to produce a nostalgic, authentic clothing line for sports fans. Over the course of a century, Mitchell & Ness grew to not only become synonymous with sports fans — but symbolic of the wider culture, history and sense of identity associated with the style. Today, Mitchell & Ness are known for the manufacture of authentic, quality throwbacks, from official and heritage jerseys, to branded collections and iconic snapbacks.
